The CLC Kenya president, Mr. Daniel Odhiambo, was also in attendance and gave a wonderful presentation of his life journey in CLC. Henry Barongo, of Exco as well as Stacy Sululu formely of University of Kabianga also gave personal sharing on their experiences in CLC. Bernard Kithusi, from the secretariat helped a lot in moderating the sessions and also gave a presentation on the CLC profile (Who we are).
The social night which lasted till 11:00pm on Saturday evening was one amazing event. It was a moment to sample a variety of Kenyan talents.
All these would not have been made possible if not for our host, Pwani University CLCers. Their hospitality was top notch and the meals (mostly swahili dishes) were quite a delicacy. We thank you so much Pwani CLcers for a job well done. You sure were up to the task. Thumbs up!
The University chaplain too was in attendance. He celebrated Mass on the last day and seized the opportunity during homily to encourage the delegates to evangelize to their colleges back home.
As a final wrap us, as is always the routine, a cake was cut by the finalists (4th years) from all universities represented and shared by all delegates. All roads then led to the beach for more fun and games to crown the event.
It was truly an amazing weekend, we couldn’t have wished for anything more. Next Joint Universities Formation Program in 2018 will be held at Rongo University.
All this we do for the Greater Glory of God
Pwani University was the place to be this past weekend of 27th -29th of January 2017. The big event was the annual Joint Universities Formation Programme. 106 delegates were in attendance from 10 different universities across the Nation.
This weekend was packed with various activities from spiritual and faith formation, to individual and group sharing, partaking in the sacrament of reconciliation, indoor and outdoor activities as well as Eucharistic celebrations which were made lively by the various choirs that took charge. Fr. Terry’s homily during the masses were quite enriching that one could not afford to miss out on.
